VETERANS IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

Most Prosecutors, Judges and Attorneys have come to recognize there is often a correlation between crimes committed by Veterans and problems stemming from military service such as post traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and other physical and mental trauma suffered by our soldiers. This recognition has led to the creation of Veteran's Courts which are specialty Courts providing services to Veterans such as  diversion programs rather than convictions related to drug, alcohol and mental health issues. Being a Viet Nam era Veteran who served in the Army Security Agency for 6 years, Larry Dunn recognizes Veterans as well. Not only do Karena Dunn and Larry Dunn provide Veterans with adjusted legal fees, we refer Veterans to a multitude of services to address the underlying problems which bring Veterans into the criminal justice system.
